AJAX 30613 CombiProtect Jeweller PIR with Glass Break Black
The Ajax CombiProtect Jeweller is a combined wireless PIR motion detector and acoustic glass-break detector, providing two types of intrusion detection within a single compact device. Designed for indoor security applications, it is ideal for homes, offices, retail stores and commercial premises where both movement and forced entry through glazed areas need to be monitored.
The PIR motion detector can detect human movement at distances of up to 12 metres, while the built-in microphone provides glass-break detection at distances of up to 9 metres. Ajax's detection algorithms analyse acoustic characteristics associated with breaking glass to help minimise false alarms from everyday background noises.
CombiProtect communicates wirelessly with the Ajax hub using the encrypted Jeweller radio protocol, providing a communication range of up to 1,200 metres in open space. The detector is powered by a pre-installed CR123A battery with an expected battery life of up to 5 years, allowing installation without running alarm cabling.
When correctly installed and configured, CombiProtect can also ignore pets while continuing to detect human movement within the protected area.
