The Ajax TurretCam HL 8MP is a wired AI-powered IP security camera featuring 4K Ultra HD video, hybrid illumination and intelligent object recognition. Designed for both indoor and outdoor surveillance, it combines detailed video with Ajax’s integrated video analytics and smart night-time illumination technology.
The 8 Megapixel version with 2.8 mm fixed lens supports video resolutions up to 3840 × 2160, providing detailed 4K footage for monitoring homes, businesses, entrances, driveways and other important areas.
Ajax Hybrid Light technology combines infrared and white LED illumination. Under normal low-light conditions, the camera can operate using discreet infrared illumination. When AI-powered detection is triggered, the camera can automatically activate its white light to provide colour video at night. The illumination intensity is automatically adjusted to help prevent overexposure of objects close to the camera.
Built-in AI object recognition allows the camera to distinguish between people, animals and vehicles. Hybrid illumination can also be configured to activate according to the detected object type, helping provide more relevant colour footage when an event occurs.
The camera features TrueWDR for improved image quality in scenes containing significant differences between bright and dark areas, together with a built-in microphone for audio recording. It can be powered via PoE or 12 V DC and connects to the system through Ethernet.
Recorded footage can be stored on an Ajax NVR or directly on a microSD card from 32 GB to 256 GB installed in the camera. Live and archived video can then be accessed through Ajax apps.
