The Dahua DHI-NVR5208-8P-AI/ANZ-S2 is a high-performance eight-channel network video recorder designed for advanced residential and commercial CCTV systems. Featuring eight built-in PoE ports, compatible IP cameras can receive power and data through a single network cable, helping simplify installation and reduce the need for additional PoE equipment.
Part of Dahua’s WizSense range, the NVR incorporates advanced artificial intelligence to deliver more accurate event detection and faster investigation of recorded footage. Its onboard AI capabilities include face detection and recognition, perimeter protection, SMD Plus, video metadata and AcuPick.
SMD Plus can distinguish between people and vehicles while filtering out common causes of false alarms, including moving vegetation, rain and changing lighting conditions. AcuPick provides a faster way to locate people or vehicles of interest within recorded footage when used with compatible Dahua cameras.
The recorder supports IP cameras with resolutions up to 32MP and offers up to 448Mbps incoming, recording and outgoing bandwidth when onboard AI is disabled. Its powerful decoding capability supports up to eight 8MP camera streams at 30 frames per second with AI enabled, providing smooth high-resolution live viewing and playback.
An 8K-capable HDMI output delivers exceptional image quality on compatible displays, while an additional VGA output can be used for a secondary monitor. Smart H.265+ video compression helps reduce bandwidth and storage requirements while maintaining clear recorded footage.
Two internal SATA hard drive bays support drives up to 20TB each, providing a potential total installed storage capacity of up to 40TB. The recorder also supports iSCSI network storage for applications requiring additional recording capacity.
Remote access from compatible iOS and Android devices allows users to monitor live cameras, review recorded footage and manage supported security events while away from the property.
