The Hikvision iDS-2CD8A46G2-XZHS(Y) is an advanced dual-channel DeepinView bullet camera designed for vehicle monitoring, perimeter security and high-detail surveillance applications.

Its multi-sensor design combines a 4MP detailed-view channel with an 8–32mm motorised varifocal lens and a separate 4MP panoramic channel with a wide-angle 4mm lens. This allows the camera to maintain a broad overview of the scene while simultaneously capturing detailed images of vehicles, people and other important targets.

Powered by Hikvision’s deep-learning technology, the camera supports automatic number plate recognition, vehicle attribute detection, face capture, multi-target detection and intelligent perimeter protection. Human and vehicle classification helps filter out false alarms caused by animals, moving vegetation, lighting changes and other environmental activity.

The camera can detect and capture faces, human bodies, motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles, while its road traffic analytics can identify vehicle type, colour and brand. Number plates can be added to configurable allowlists and blocklists for automatic event triggering and vehicle access applications.

DarkFighter 2.0 low-light technology, 140dB WDR and hybrid infrared and white-light illumination provide clear images in difficult lighting conditions. The detailed channel offers supplementary lighting up to 100 metres, while the panoramic channel provides coverage up to 40 metres. Channel one can also record at up to 50 frames per second at full resolution, making it suitable for capturing faster-moving vehicles and people.

Built for demanding outdoor installations, the camera features an aluminium housing with IP67 weather resistance, IK10 vandal resistance, an integrated heater and electronic demisting. The Y version adds moderate anti-corrosion protection and NEMA 4X compliance for installations exposed to harsher environmental conditions.
